Fingal Food Village

The centre for all things food related at Flavours of Fingal is the Fingal Food Village in the Farmers Field. Taste, try and buy. Eat here or take produce home to enjoy. PLUS fabulous chef demonstrations and entertaining Meet the Maker interviews. It’s a food lovers heaven.

Food and Drink Market
Fingal Food Circle and the Fingal Farmers are out in force this  year. The marquee is crammed with food stalls of all types from delicious baking, jams and chutneys to the freshest of vegetables and fruit from Fingal, the traditional market garden of Ireland. Meet old friends and make new ones.

Chef Demos
Everyone loves a good cookery demonstration and this line up of Fingal chefs is sure to please. The MC is well known personality Simon Delaney, a true local whose entertaining style always packs the house. Headed up by TV celebrity chef Erica Drum, there’s a full programme of demos on both Saturday and Sunday. Discover tricks of the trade and learn new techniques from the experts.

Joining Erica Drum on the demonstration stage are members of Fingal Food Circle: Joe Savage (Joe’s Smokehouse), Lorraine Fitzmaurice (Howth Cookery School), James Gabriel Martin, Lewis Girvan (Cakes by Emma), Jeremy Cuevas (La Cocina Cuevas), Kevin Arundel (The Brooklyn, Swords), Kelly Keogh (Whitestown House) and Matthew Brownie (Skibbereen Food Company),

Chef demos run every hour on the hour from 11am to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Meet the Maker Interviews
Back this year by popular demand is food writer and authority Dee Laffan chatting to food and drink producers and makers. This informal interview is an entertaining and educational way to discover more about the fascinating world of Fingal food and drink and the people who are involved in it.

Dee will be talking lots of people over the two days including: Wim de Jong (Hope Beer), Niamh McNally (McNally Family Farm), Thomas Murphy (Country Crest), Ross Keogh (Keogh’s Farm), Laura Duffy (La Cocina Cuevas), Graham Parkes (Bee Keeper), Denise Buckley (Lispopple Apples), Mark Hynes (Java The Hut Coffee Roasters), Denise Dunne (The Herb School), and several of the Fingal Farmers, representatives of the market gardening and agri industry which Fingal has traditionally been famous for.

Meet the Maker interviews run at quarter to the hour from 11.45am to 4.45pm.
