Dear Resident,

The 14th annual Flavours of Fingal, the North Dublin County Show, will take place on the weekend of 4th & 5th July 2026 and will be held once again in Newbridge House and Farm, Donabate.

The purpose of this letter is to make you aware of the arrangements that have been put in place to ensure that the event passes off with the minimum possible disruption to the residents of Donabate and Portrane.

Extensive preparation for the event has been undertaken by the Flavours of Fingal Committee and Fingal County Council. An application for licencing of the Event was applied for and following a public consultation period a decision to approve the Event was granted. A robust Traffic Management Plan has been devised in consultation with all stakeholders, including An Garda Síochana, Dublin Fire Brigade, HSE, NTA and Fingal County Council.  Traffic management on routes including the R132 will apply on the day and this information is available online at www.flavoursoffingal.ie.

FREE access to the event will be given to those who walk to the event, travel by public transport or cycle. 

On site car parking is available and can be booked at www.flavoursoffingal.ie

Directional signage will be in place on all approach routes to the event site and motorists are advised to make themselves familiar with the event traffic management plan which can be viewed on the event website at www.flavoursoffingal.ie.

There will be restricted movements on July 4th and 5th on the following roads to facilitate traffic flow during the event:-

  • NORMAL TRAFFIC UNTIL 10AM SAT & SUN*
  • FROM 10AM - 6PM ON SAT & SUN SEE BELOW*:
  • Turvey Avenue for Event Traffic Only
  • Exit Donabate / Portarne on Hearse Rd. Only
  • NO EXIT from Donabate / Portrane on Turvey
  • Access to Hearse Road Available from R132 (BUT NOT FROM LISENHALL)
  • Turvey Avenue Local Residents only
  • A traffic management plan will be implemented to manage traffic volumes and assist residents and businesses. 

*Please note these plans and times are subject to change on event days, if required, to facilitate traffic flow in the area and will be done in consultation with An Garda Síochana. Additional resources have being assigned to ensure illegal parking is prevented and this will be done in conjunction with An Garda Síochana.

Local signage, social media and the website will be updated to reflect any changes if necessary. Attendees are advised to monitor www.flavoursoffingal.ie before travelling.
